How should I pack an unusually shaped item?

All objects that can’t be packed in a cardboard box, such as tyres, cylinders, bare metal lengths or other goods of irregular shape fall into this category.

It is important to pack these objects properly and exposed edges should be wrapped in corrugated cardboard or other thick cardboard pieces to prevent them from damaging other parcels during transit.

If you are shipping tyres or wheel rims we strongly recommend wrapping and packing each item individually. If these items are not packaged separately the courier may refuse collection, and there is an increased risk of them being damaged.

When packing rims and tyres, we advise using cardboard and polystyrene to protect all surfaces in order to prevent damage during transit.
